Khao Chi Chan, also known as Buddha mountain, is a beautiful and popular tourist destination located in Chonburi province, just 15 kilometers from Pattaya, the island paradise of Thailand. Amidst the majestic landscape and pristine beauty of Khao Chi Chan, stands the famous statue of Gautama Buddha, sitting in a meditative posture on a high rock. The statue is more than 100 meters high and about 70 meters wide, and is made entirely of 24 carat gold. statue was created in sukhothi style.The Khao Chi Chan statue was built in 1996  the 50th anniversary of King Rama IX's rule in Thailand.
